The weekends lasts until Tuesday!
the monday class was temporaly cenceled so i continued to enjoy the weekends while the fear from the coming gloomy wednesday was shimmering deep inside my heart. the past weekends were great though we missed uncountable trains, still it was a special time.
Till today it was wet and cold. early this morning i was waken up by my daddy's call from china. as the document of my mom's visa file was not complete , so i asked my daddy to prapare for it, and that was why he called such an early morning.

Friday Night After The Mid-Term Exam
On Thursday i took the mid term exam on "the survey of English" . although i had a general review on the history of 16th century of England , still i could not use my pen smoothly on the 6 papers. what a shame on me!
anyway the exam is finished and i was a little easy before the exam. and today's class was cancelled. so i asked my roommates to accompany me to "yihua university" despite the rainy weather we moved around 6 pm. it took us more than 30 min because of the traffic jam, i was having nausea for the long way , crowd and suffocating air in the bus.
Finally we arrived at the xincun station. the first step was eating. they said they should oppress the nausea by eating something like hot roasted chicken. but it was different in my case. for me i could never oppress the nausea by any food, instead i always keep my stomach empty for some time. anyway i followed them around and ate a string of hot chicken, which was unbearably hot, jihyon was almost fainting and crying before finished half. i had to remove the pepper in soup.
but my another roommate HAHIE was brave enough to eat the whole without any crying or rinsing. she would be the "PEPPER QUEEN"
after the hot chicken, i went for haircut while they went for shopping. the same hair shop as last time i came and the same barber i asked for, who was shocked by the immense damage of my hair. last time she cut off some part and this time she cut off a little more of the ruined hair. so after half a year's burned hair on my head, i had to grow it with my immense patience.

i gathered with my roommates afterwards and the whole 5 hours shopping continued until 11 pm. the most important part was that i took piercing on my ears, which meant i could wear earrings as other girls. i was afraid it would be too painful, but fortunately it was like a sting by mosquito. i was feeling like i became very famine with the earrings.^-^ HAPPY
when we were coming back, the rain stopped, the after rain night was so clear.
it was a little past 12 am fortunately there was a girl passing by who opened the door for us.
i had a good time with my lovely roommates. What a relax!

Since the spring is here, can summer be far away?
I was planning to stay in room as usual despise how sunny the weather would be on weekends. Yet this Saturday was different from my Saturday. It is so magical that all of sudden someone sneaked into my lazy, dull world, turn everything upside down. The tantrum boy, who is as bright as the spring Sunday morning sun, rising brilliantly and peek through the curtain, waking me up gently.

So around 1 :30 pm, we set for the National Assembly for the cherry flower blossom festival, though I was told the season for cherry flower was gone, yet we have faith and believed firmly that as long as we are there, cherry flower will never be gone. We took bus 153 which directly took us to the destination national assembly after 40 minutes. Although I kept complaining about the long journey, I was eager to see the cherry flower from my heart. Finally, we arrived at the national assembly and began another phase of searching. We scanned around our surroundings, but not found the cherry flower. All the way here, we kept asking the way. Though it is no hurt to ask the way, it was quite blushing. But instead of the assembly , we came to the 여의도 park, where we ride bicycle, ate some food and took a lot of pictures. Though everything was not going as plan, we still have ग्रेटtime there. We are flexible enough to adjust ourselves to our newlyset plan.

After that around 6:30 pm. we headed for another place named, -==-==-0-0by subway line 5. Then bus, then transfer… I forgot how long we lingered in the subway, anyway i found out the place by a good navigator with a pair of bigger eyes^-^
At the end of our plan, we went to xincun for something special for dinner. And it was a tasty and special dinner , and a good lesson for learning chopsticks for Pyiam. Sometimes he had to be fed by me like a bird man^-^ around 11pm we went back to our lovely dormitory.
Farewell to The 2009 Cherry Flower Spring and Lets Welcome The Summer Night’s Dream Soon!

On the Eve of Black Wednesday, We Visited Namsan Tower~ Relax!
since last time i went for work in the early morning, i had been getting up 6 :30 am for one week. since last time i was laid off from the part time job, i have been never able to wake up before 12 :pm. until today, i was still in the state of being jobless, so when i opened my eyes and found out it was 10 to 12, in whose favor? ^-^ Lazily i sat up from bed and pushed the button of the Laptop mechanically. i checked email by routine and began to mess with the poems for tomorrow. in the morning tomorrow morning class, the virgin professor would blah blah something about William Blake's poem. last Wednesday she was absent for sickness, and we were left to discuss about "the tiger","chimney sweeper" "the marriage of heaven and hell" by Blake.
the professor's absence for last time was the second happiest thing ever since my living life on earth. my first happiest thing ever in my living life happened on the eve of black Wednesday, this Tuesday evening. After prisoned in dormitory for the whole afternoon, i was feeling dizzy, nausea and short breath. frequently i glanced at the watch subconsciously, waiting for the Time for some fresh air~ Pry am and i planned to go to namsan tower. after taking a shower and a brief makeup, i headed out for the tryst. the earth was gradually threw in dark nighter, in the shadow, sparkle eyes and glowing baby face show up in family mart when i was choosing something for drink, the smart boy came. we talked and walked to the bus station for the subway station from where we go to namsan tower. previously we planned to go to mingdong, but for the time was late already so we just canceled shopping and directly head for tower, which seemed more fun than mingdong, i guess.
before too long, we reached the destination-----namsan park, through where we searched for the way and climbed up to the mountain. we conquered half way of the mountain, accompanied by many visitors and people who walked a mile after dinner for exercise.^^ (i was worrying about the darkness at first but when i saw the bustling people there, i was feeling soothed)
half way left, i was out of breath and sweat a little, then we took bus to the tower. we bought 2 tickets to the tower and along with the long queueof people, lifted onto the tower, where we could observe the brightness of Seoul city and also distant countries in different directions. standing in front of the shanghai observatory, i became missing my dear brother who is about 863km away from me. the memory of my brother and i flushed into my mind and i suffered from homesick for a while. i shouted deeply in my heart a thousand times"i miss u so much, brother" the river across the city gleamed softly in the moonlight and the whole city was dazzling, showing the glambition of civilization of mankind-------the masterpiece of 21 century.
we took an overview of the world in this tower^^
we had a wonderful time together and on our way back we went to mingdong for dinner. i bought two stockings a little preparation for my summer wear, and we had a awesome dinner, fried rice with chicken on a big pane.
it was already 11 pm when we went back to our dorm.
the night was peaceful and clear.
i was so happy to see my roommates in our small zone, busy with their study, so i just sneak into the room with an invisible cloak^^
tomorrow i would ride a broom to see the virgin professor challenging her super boring class, but tonight i would pray for her sick again^^

We find rest in those we love, and we provide a resting place in ourselves for those who love us." Saint Bernard of Clairvaux

A Cup of Pumpkin Salad on Sunday Evening!
i did nothing like a vegetarian. it is another sunny day. my roommates went out for the Easter day and only two of us stayed inside, cooking for ourselves and killing time.
ya nan is majoring visual design and every day she also likes to stay inside staring at the computer and doing some design with her eyes. as an English literature major student, i was looking for some essays for my next week's study, which was illiterate sometimes.
after struggling whole day for something meaningfulness, i went out for a little fresh air in the evening with my friend.
we walked a while and had a brief dinner together. i was always lost whenever come to menu. after a lot of hesitation, we ordered fried noodles and pumpkin salad. the pumpkin salad is beautifully put in a cup and i finished it all by myself. the dessert was served by a special ice cream from the family mart. i love that ice cream only family mart sells.
although i tried hard to hold back the Sunday , it is still passing by.
i wish the most beautiful moment in my life would stop forever.^^

In order to form an immaculate member of a flock of sheep one must, above all, be a sheep.

I am Happy to Lose MY Job
Ah, Spring! The birds are singing, the flowers are blooming, and in rooms around the world, i am lying down alone for that time-tortured life...
Two weeks ago , i got a part time job, i did not tell my parents about it as i knew myself so well that someday in the nearest future i would be fired and now i am sure of my being fired after 1 week of suffering there in the boring office with 2 boring men and 1 boring woman, plus several boring copy machines...

everyday i was going to work passionately, taking 1 hour's subway, tread by the feet for 100 times. i reached office out of breath, with a big smile, regardless of a super long face of the bossy boss.
double suffered from the job and study, i was desperate for some rest physically and mentally.
finally Saturday came and i slept late until 12pm this morning for a complete recover. yet still i was feeling feeble and languid. as the most energetic creature in our room, xiahui raised from a long night's rest and cooked for herself a very healthy branch with some cucumber and mushroom, which allured my appetite out for some delicious too. so i cooked the same dish as xiahui did, but it tasted very different, they said my poor personality led to my poor culinary. ^-^ anyhow, i feasted myself with my own hands on the Saturday morning.
i began my first day of the precious weekends with a big vegetable feast, though the spring weather was so tempting, i would rather stuck in room than go out to see a lots of couples enjoying the spring flowers. because i am solo.
no mood for out view,i spent my whole day inside surfing on line, until late evening, accompanied by xiahui, we went to the market for some oil and ice cream. unfortunately, xiahui lost her earrings on the way, although we tried to look for it our way back, we failed. it was gone.
xiahui was kicked the other midnight by jihyon , nose bleeding and almost struck by a motorcycle on the way... bad luck for her ....
weekends continues... hyanghua's adventure continues in Korea...

What can we gain by sailing to the moon if we are not able to cross the abyss that separates us from ourselves?" - Thomas Merton

NORTH KOREA and OUR GOSSIPING, False Alarm or Real Threatening?
Four of us in the room were arguing about the hot news on north korea. some said it was just a false alarm, some said it was real threatening to our daily lives. i was thinking... it could be anything but something must be done to solve the problem ...
The world's most dangerous nation led by the world's craziest leader: the Democratic
People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) said on Sunday it launched a satellite into orbit and that the satellite was circling the Earth "transmitting songs". China and the US said it had failed to enter orbit and landed (fell) somewhere in the pacific and was not transmitting songs, but rather was blowing bubbles
The DPRK (North Korea) is a nation that cannot feed itself (there are about 200,00 refugees in China) oppresses its people and is led by a sick individual who has absolute power. The world community should take very seriously this guy's efforts to combine nuclear weapons with long range missiles. It is not going to be easy to isolate North Korea more than it is already isolated, but I think something definitely has to be done.
The problem as I see it, is that the failed launch will lead some to simply dismiss North Korea as a nation that wants to be considered dangerous, but isn't. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

North Korean Missile Launch Was a Failure, Experts Say
North Korea is the last Stalinist state on earth, and the latest country to join the nuclear club. But since setting off its first atomic device in 2006, the secretive, isolated, heavily militarized and desperately poor country has slowly moved away from confrontation. On June 26, 2008, the Bush administration removed North Korea from its list of state sponsors of terrorism after Pyongyang submitted a 60-page report on its nuclear program.
Of course, there have been North Korean thaws before. It took steps in the 1990s toward warmer relations with South Korea, before questions about its nuclear ambitions plunged it back into isolation in 2002.
More broadly, North Korea has taken a consistent anti-Washington line since its creation in 1948, denouncing both the United States and South Korea as a puppet of the U.S. Since the end of the Korean War in 1953 the North has not attacked its neighbor, but to this day keeps large concentrations of troops and artillery focused on Seoul, and has regularly engaged in provocations like kidnappings, submarine incursions and missile tests over the Sea of Japan.
The country's founder, the so-called Great Leader, Kim Il-sung, was succeeded at his death in 1994 by his son, the "Dear Leader," Kim Jong-il, an eccentric playboy invariably seen (in his few public appearances) in platform shoes and a khaki jumpsuit.

North Korea failed in its highly vaunted effort to fire a satellite into orbit, military and private experts said Sunday after reviewing detailed tracking data that showed the missile and payload fell into the sea. Some said the failure undercut the North Korean campaign to come across as a fearsome adversary able to hurl deadly warheads halfway around the globe.

Defying world opinion, North Korea in recent weeks had moved steadily and fairly openly toward launching a long-range rocket that Western experts saw as a major step toward a military weapon. The launching itself of the three-stage rocket on Sunday, which the North Korean government portrayed as a success — even bragging that the supposed satellite payload was now broadcasting patriotic tunes from space — outraged Japan and South Korea, led to widespread rebuke by
President Obama and other leaders, and prompted the United Nations Security Council to go into an emergency session.
But looking at the launching from a purely technical vantage point, space experts said the failure represented a blow that in all likelihood would seriously delay the missile’s debut.
“It’s got to be embarrassing,” said Geoffrey E. Forden, a missile expert at the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology. “I can imagine heads flying if the ‘Dear Leader’ finds out the satellite didn’t fly into orbit,” he said, referring to the name North Koreans are obliged to use when speaking of Kim Jong-il, North Korea’s reclusive leader.
North Korea’s official news agency said Mr. Kim attended the launching.
Analysts dismissed the idea that the rocket firing could represent a furtive success, calling the failure consistent with past North Korean fumbles and suggesting it might reveal a significant quality control problem in one of the world’s most isolated nations.
“It’s a setback,” Jonathan McDowell, a Harvard astronomer who tracks satellites and rocket launchings, said of the North Korean launching. He added that the North Koreans must now find and fix the problem. “The missile doesn’t represent any kind of near-term threat.”
Others said North Korea’s client states, like Iran, seemed to be having more success at rocketry than North Korea. In February, Iran managed to launch a small satellite into orbit.
The
United States Northern Command, based in Colorado Springs, issued a statement on Sunday that portrayed the launching as a major failure. It based its information on a maze of federal radars, spy ships and satellites that monitor global missile firings.
The command said that North Korea launched a Taepodong-2 missile at 11:30 a.m. Sunday local time, or 10:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on Saturday, and that its first stage fell into the Sea of Japan, which analysts had expected as the point of splashdown in a successful launching.
However, “the remaining stages, along with the payload itself, landed in the Pacific Ocean,” the statement said. Analysts had expected the rocket’s second stage to land in the Pacific but its third stage and its ostensible satellite payload to fly into space.
The command emphasized that “no object entered orbit,” apparently a reference to both the rocket’s third stage as well as the supposed satellite.
North Korea’s public portrayal of the event as a complete success was similar in its celebratory tone to the happy note it struck in 1998 after having failed to loft a satellite into orbit.
News reports out of Japan also said the rocket’s second stage splashed down in the Pacific, hundreds of miles short of the danger zone that North Korea announced last month. Western analysts said that shortfall, if correct, probably indicated a failure of the missile’s second stage.
A general rule of engineering is that failures reveal more than successes. If so, North Korea — which has now test-fired three long-range rockets, each time unsuccessfully — is learning a lot about limitations.
“It’s not unusual to have a series of failures at the beginning of a missile program,” Jeffrey G. Lewis, an arms control specialist at the
New America Foundation, a research group in Washington, said in an interview. “But they don’t test enough to develop confidence that they’re getting over the problems.”
Dr. Lewis added that an influential
1998 report by Donald H. Rumsfeld, before he became secretary of defense in the Bush administration, argued that the North Korean rockets might be good enough to pose a threat to the United States, even without flight testing.
“But given that both versions of the Taepodong-2 have failed now,” he said, “we have very little confidence in the reliability of the system.”
North Korea is often portrayed as technically adept when it comes to bombs and rockets. But Western analysts say that image is now in doubt amid rising questions of basic competence.
In August 1998, North Korea’s
first attempt at launching a long-range rocket, the Taepodong-1, managed to scare Japan but failed to deliver a satellite to orbit. The troubles continued in July 2006 when its second test of a long-range missile, the Taepodong-2, ended in an explosion just seconds after liftoff.

the coming new week is full of burdens i hate to take...
today lying on bed whole day until i was too upset to lie only. so i went out for some food to soothe my unpeaceful heart in the late afternoon around 4 pm. i bought an icecream and some bread and 2 corns and some daily uses. my roommates were busy outside and inside. when i got back to room after hauting some food, xiahui was still sleeping. she had been fully enjoying her weekends for the last two days without sleeping so that explained why she was still sleeping...
some food and chatting with friends made me feel a lot better , and priyam lent me the movies and helped me to install the player for watching movies. he even helped me to reuse the word program after my not using it for a thousand years...
i am very grateful for his precious time to help me.^^
in the evening, jihyon came back from her holiday in her boyfriend's place.

I love to travel, but hate to arrive

I LOVE SATURDAY , BECAUSE I HAVE SUNDAY TO REST !
today i slept until 1 pm in the afternoon after a tiring and long week , i wanted to make up all the sleep i missed in the past five days which were like five months.
i got up 6 30 am every day and took 1 hour's subway to my working place. yet the effort was in vain. As a beginner, i thought the boss expected too much. i was scolded by the boss and cried helplessly. besides the pressure from job, the classes added salt on my wound. i have been too tired from study and life.
in the evening i went out for dinner with an indian friend . we talked lots of things about korea. he had a very keen obervation. he went for shopping for his mother, but he said the fashion in korea was neither too long nor too short, which amused me a lot. i agreed with him and the dinner was nice except i ordered too much for two people.
we were looking for an icecream shop but we failed so i bought from the family market and went back to dorm .
i could see another suffering week is waving at me horribly, sucking all the happiness out of me like a black hole... presentation and quiz... i am afraid i have to finish the pamela tonight...
